Christos Sofos
Chairman of the Board of Directors - CEO

Chairman of the Board of Directors and CEO as well as a founding executive of Sofos Insurance Agency.  Born in 1958 and married with 2 sons, he started his career in the insurance field in August 1978 as an employee at Emporiki insurance. He studied insurance at Elkepa and E.I.A.S. He was Vice President of the Board of Directors from 1988 to 2011 at Diethnis Enosis insurance company. From 1996 to 2009 he was regional director and subsequently Technical director in the same company. His many years of experience in insurance allow him to manage Sofos Insurance Agency, a large and reliable insurance brokerage company. As a member of the Professional Chamber of Athens, he holds an insurance agent’s license.

Despina Mavroeidi
Management Consultant

Co-founder executive of Sofos Insurance Agency.  Born in 1959, she is married with 2 sons. She started her career in 1978 as an insurance company employee. In 1986, she founded an insurance agency which later evolved into Sofos Insurance Agency SA. She has attended several insurance seminars and is a member of the Professional Chamber of Athens holding an insurance agent's license. Due to her many years of experience in the field, she manages Sofos Insurance Agency with great success.

George Sofos
Vice President of the Board of Directors – General Operations Manager

BSc Statistics and Insurance Science at the
University of Piraeus.
Executives MBA Strathclyde University Glasgow. He started his career in 2003 as an insurance consultant and in 2007 took over as Director of Operations and Underwriting at Sofos Insurance Agency. Today, in his capacity as Vice President of the Board of Directors and General Operations Manager, he ensures the smooth operations of procedures and gives pace to the efficiency of the experienced executives of the organization. He specializes in planning and implementing innovative projects that expand the professional capabilities of the sales network and his vision is the unification of pioneering mediation services. He is a member of the Professional Chamber of Athens, a member of the Economic Chamber, and holds certificates in all levels of insurance mediation.

Thrasyvoulos Sofos
Board member – General Sales Manager

He graduated in 2013 from Deree American College with a degree in Public Relations and Communications department. Since September 2014, he has been working at Sofos Insurance Agency, taking over the corresponding department. Along the way, he attended several insurance seminars at E.I.A.S. as well as the annual insurance studies program (EDI) and the Mini MBA thus specializing his knowledge in insurance and business matters. At present, he is responsible for the smooth operation of the Sales Network as well as the daily resolution of requests from the company's partners. His vision is the creation of an insurance mediation company, which will hold the reins in private insurance. Member of the Professional Chamber of Athens, he holds an Insurance Agent’s certificate.

George Panagopoulos
Board member – Chief Operations Officer

BSc Statistics and Insurance Science at University of Piraeus

Diploma in Negotiations from the Economical University of Athens (EKPA).

He worked for a very large insurance company as an insurance consultant for 8 years. In the summer of 2014, he joined the staff of  Sofos Insurance Agency  as an assistant accountant. In 2014, he took over the management of the life and health insurance department of the company. Today he holds the position of Chief Operations Officer with control and optimization responsibilities of the organization's processes as well as he is actively participating in the planning, implementation, and communication of new projects. He is fluent in both English and French and holds insurance Certificates type A, C, and D from the Bank of Greece.

Grigoris Moutafis
Board Member – Chief Financial Officer

Graduate of the University of Piraeus in the Department of Statistics and Insurance Science as well as of the annual training program for executives of insurance companies of EIAS (EDI). He has attended several seminars on financial, accounting, insurance, and administrative matters. He has been working in the Insurance sector since 1993 and has been a Financial, Administrative, General Director, and member of the Board of Directors in Greek, Multinational insurance companies and organizations, gaining multifaceted knowledge and experience. Since July 2020, he has been offering his services to Sofos Insurance Agency as a Chief Financial Officer.

Panagiotis Sarelis
Board Member – Material Handling Manager

He graduated from the Evelpidon school in 1982 and retired as a senior officer in 2003. In 2006, he started working as a personnel manager and material handler in a large insurance company, where he stayed until 2013. Since August 2013 he has been working for Sofos Insurance Agency, being responsible for the handling and processing of the material. He is a Board member of the company and a fluent English speaker.

Spyros Stefanis
Board Member – Regional Director of Epirus

He started his career in the insurance market in 1988 as an Administrative employee in a large Greek insurance company and then in 1992, he created his insurance agency in Ioannina. He then served as a Regional Director at the insurance company Diethnis Enosis from 1995 to 2013, while practicing the profession of the insurance agent with great success. Since 2013, he has taken over as Regional Director of Epirus, supporting Sofos Insurance Agency in practice, and adopting the culture and mentality that governs it. An experienced executive and Board Member of the company, he is a holder of a type A’ certificate from the Bank of Greece.

Ioannis Papoutsas
Corporate Network Sales Manager

He has been working in the field of private insurance for 34 years. Since 1995 in the field of Sales, in various positions of responsibility, while for 10 years he was Sales Manager of the Corporate Network in a large Life and General sector company. He is a graduate of the Department of International Relations and European Studies of the Law School of the University of Athens. He speaks English and has attended numerous insurance conferences and seminars in Greece and abroad, with distinctions in the two annual EIAS programs, in insurance and finance. Holder of the A' certificate of the Chamber of Commerce. He was a member of the Hellenic Cypriot Committee of LIMRA, of which in 2 years 2016 – 2017 he served as First Vice-President.

Nikos Markantonatos
IT Director

His career began in 1999 when he started working for the company Euroxx ACHEPEY (Stock Exchange), more specifically in the Transactions clearing department. In 2001 he was employed by the Egnatia insurance group of companies where he remained for six years in his capacity as computerization manager. He then worked as an IT Manager in a brokerage company. He followed an upward path in a computerization company where he worked in the positions of Second line support and junior developer. In 2017, he joined the staff of Sofos Insurance Agency, taking over the IT department, and contributing a lot to the planning and implementation of the organization's digital transformation. He is certified as an intermediary insurance agent by the General Secretariat of Commerce. He holds proficiency in the English language.  

Anna Gatidou
Senior secretary

She graduated from the Public IEK as a specialist in computerized accounting as well as from the  Didacta  secretarial school in the circle of secretaries and accountants. From 2007 to 2019, she worked as a secretary in the office of the Deputy Minister. In March 2019, she joined the staff of Sofos Insurance Agency and undertook secretarial support. She holds an ECDL and an English language certificate.

Stavroula Sarantis
Senior secretary

Graduated from St George Commercial College, specializing in secretarial support in Business Administration and Public Relations. He has served as a private secretary to executives in various companies and from 2004 to 2021, he worked in a business consulting firm in full support of the President, Vice President and other Executives. In addition, he served as assistant to the Executive Director in the Human Resources department. Finally, he participated in project groups, regarding the implementation of Public & Private Sector projects. He has ECDL (Advanced Microsoft Word), excellent computer skills (Microsoft Windows, Office) and holds an English Language certificate. In March 2023, he joined the staff of Sofos Insurance Agency and assumed secretarial support.

Vicky Anasontzi
Sales Network Service Manager

Her career began in 1988 in a large insurance company, where she held various management positions. In the last decade(2003-2013) she worked as a manager of the sales network with great success. The experience she has in the management of this position is vital. She joined the Sofos Insurance Agency  in July 2013. She is a graduate of French literature and is thus fluent in French as well as Italian and English. She is a holder of a Type A’ Certificate from the Bank of Greece.

George Andriopoulos
Sales Network Operations Manager

He is a graduate of the Technical Vocational High School in the field of Economics and Administration, in the department of accounting clerks.

His career began in 1993 in a publishing company in the field of sales, as well as two years in large food and electrical chains.

His most important station until now, from 1999 until 2020, was the Hellenic Institute of Insurance Studies (EIAS), where he worked as the Manager of Operational Management & Technical Issues, thus having extensive experience in the field of Education, while later he was the Director of Project Development at crystal breaking company MOTORGLASS, before joining Sofos Insurance Agency in October 2022, in the position of Assistant to the General Directorate of Sales.

He holds the ECDL and is proficient in the English Language.

Stavroula Klotsoni
Customer Service Manager

She graduated from the private school of Athens Didacta in 1986 in the department of senior secretaries. She started working in 1987 as an insurance consultant for large-scale insurance companies and then joined  Sofos Insurance Agency  in the customer service department in 1996. Her experience in the insurance industry is vital for the company, whose customer service department is under her exclusive management. She holds an insurance Certificate Type A’

Fotis Papadopoulos
Head of Motor policy issues department

He graduated from the Department of Auditing and Insurance of TEI Kalamata and then started working at an insurance office in Patras in 2013, gaining a lot of experience, especially in the motor policy issues department. He has been working at Sofos Insurance Agency since 2017, initially as an accountant assistant and then as manager of the motor policy issues department. He is fluent in English. Holder of Certificate A’ from the Bank of Greece.

Dimitra Kokkori
Motor policy issues department

Her career began in 1986 when she worked in the motor policy issues department of a large Greek insurance company. During the 21 years that she worked for that company, she held various positions. The most important of which was that of the senior secretary. She left the company in 2007 and took over the motor policy issues department at another insurance agency until she ended up in  Sofos Insurance Agency  in October 2008. She studied insurance at EIAS and holds a Type A’ Certificate. She also holds several certificates in English and French. With many years of experience in the motor policy issues department, Ms. Kokkori, in collaboration with the rest of the executives of the sector, has successfully processed all partner’s requests.

Christina Moutsoula

Her career, in the insurance industry, began in 2008 when she worked for several sectors at an insurance agency, while from 2012 onwards she was exclusively involved in the sales and training department. In 2020, she joined Sofos Insurance Agency in the motor policy issues department. Graduate of IEK Informatics and Multimedia, proficient in the English language, and holder of Type A Certificate of the Bank of Greece

Panagiota Zoudiari
Motor policy issues department

She started her career in the insurance industry in 2001, as an employee of Ethniki Asfalistiki at the Kifisos branch in the motor policy issues department. In 2002, she started working for an insurance broker. In January 2019, she joined the staff of  της Sofos Insurance Agency in the motor policy issues department. She graduated from the Panteion University of Athens in the Department of International and European Studies. She holds type A’ certification from the Bank of Greece and knows English and French at the Certificate level.

Iota Xepapadakou

She started her career in the insurance industry in 2000 where she gained experience in the motor policy issues department. In December 2020, she joined Sofos Insurance Agency in the motor policy issues department. She graduated from Public IEK as a computerized accounting specialist. She holds an English language certificate and holds type A certification from the Bank of Greece.

Vasia Despotaki
Motor policy issues department

Graduated from the Department of Philosophy-Pedagogy-Psychology of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, with specialization in Psychology and holds a master's degree in Counseling Psychology from Seattle University. He has worked as a Vocational Guidance Counselor at a Vocational Training Center, as well as a secretary at an insurance office and a publishing house. From December 2019, he joined the staff of Sofos Insurance Agency, initially in the Casualty branch, while in 2022 he moved to the car publishing branch in the Regional Directorate of Crete & Aegean Islands. From October 2023 he works at our headquarters also in the Automotive Publications Department. He is fluent in the English language and holds a Type A insurance agent certificate.

George Spanakis
Head of Non Motor insurance department

His career in the insurance industry began in 2005 when he worked in management positions in various insurance agencies and insurance companies. In January 2021 he joined the staff of Sofos Insurance Agency as the head of the General and Technical department. He graduated from Nottingham Trent University in business administration in 2003. He is a fluent English speaker and holds a type A certificate from the Bank of Greece.

Anastasia Ioakeimopoulou
General and Technical insurance department

Graduate of the private Didacta school in the Informatics department. Her career began in 2000 when she worked in a large graphic design company. Then, from 2001 to 2013, she worked for a large Greek insurance company in the General and Technical insurance department. She has extensive experience in this field as she was responsible for the registration and issuing of policies in these sectors. She has also been a secretary in the reinsurance department of the same company. She joined Sofos insurance agency in XNUMX in the General and Technical insurance department. She holds a type A’ certificate from the Bank of Greece.

Eleni Adamopoulou
General and Technical insurance department

She started her career in the insurance market in 2011, as an insurance officer in an insurance agency. She is a member of the Sofos Insurance Agency team, since October 2020 and works in the General and Technical insurance department. She is a graduate of the school of IT applications in administration and economics of TEI Messolongi and holds the type A certification from the Bank of Greece.

Haris Drizis
Head of Life and Health department

He started his career in 2012 working as an insurance broker. He has attended many Marketing seminars and has received certifications for the promotion of insurance products from the Institute of Insurance Studies (EIAS). In 2019 he started his collaboration with Sofos Insurance Agency as an independent partner and in March 2022 he joined the company's workforce in the Life & Health department. He holds a type A certificate from the Bank of Greece. He is fluent in English.

Antigoni Papaspyrou
Life and Health Department

Her career began in 2007 when she worked in an insurance office in the general insurance sector until 2016. In 2017 she continued as an insurance employee in another large insurance agency, in which she managed the claims handling as well as the issuance of offers and contracts in the general insurance sector. In 2019, she joined the staff of Sofos Insurance Agency, where she remains active in the Life & Health department. She holds a type A certificate from the Bank of Greece.

Angeliki Papoulia
Head of Accounting and Finance department

Her career begins in 2004 when she worked in an accounting office for 2 years. In 2006, she took on the duties of assistant accountant in an insurance agency, where she stayed until 2013. She joined the staff of  Sofos Insurance Agency as an assistant accountant and is now head of the specific department. She has excellent experience in the day-to-day management and accounting procedures and is a graduate of the Department of Accounting at ATEI Piraeus. Holder of a license to practice the profession of accountant - tax technician B' class. She holds a certificate in the English language.

Menelaos Stoupas
Accountant assistant

He graduated from the Department of Economic and Regional Development of Panteion University. He started his career working at the National Bank and then at Eurobank where he registered and analyzed case files. He has attended training seminars on computerized accounting for C' class books. He holds diplomas in English and German language. He joined Sofos Insurance Agency as an accountant assistant in March 2018.

Elena Vovou

she started working in the insurance market In June 2002, as an assistant accountant in a large insurance company, where she remained until 2018. From February 2020, she joined the staff of Sofos Insurance Agency as an assistant accountant. Graduate of the public TEE, Department of Office Employees, and Department of Economics and Administration. She holds an ECDL and an English Language Certificate.

Evangelia Klouvatou
Accountant Assistant

In November 2007 he started working in the insurance market, as an assistant accountant in large insurance agencies where he remained until 2022. From December 2022 he joined the staff of Sofos Insurance Agency as an assistant accountant. He is a graduate of IEK, in the Assistant Accountant department. He holds a "CUSTOMER SERVICE" Certificate from the EEA and holds an English Language Certificate.

Gerasimos Papadopoulos
Accountant Assistant

His career in the insurance industry began in 1986. He has worked in positions of responsibility in the financial services of a large Life and General insurance company. He is a graduate of the Control Data Institute and has attended numerous insurance and financial seminars. He speaks the English language and from August 2023 he joined the staff of Sofos Insurance Agency in financial services.

Vaso Karageorgou
IT department

Graduated from the Department of Informatics and Telematics of the Harokopeio University of Athens. In 2014 she started working with a supermarket chain in the computerization and accounting department. In February 2019, she joined the staff of Sofos Insurance Agency in the IT department. She is fluent in English.

Konstantinos Sporidis
IT department

Student at the Department of Informatics and Telecommunications of the University of Peloponnese. From November 2023 he joined the staff of Sofos Insurance Agency in the computerization department. He knows the English language perfectly.

Jagik Savoulian
Head of Claims handling department

She graduated from the Athens Didacta school in the department of senior Secretaries In 1980. She also has excellent knowledge of the Typewriter blind system. In the same year, she started working for a multinational company, where she stayed for 11 years as a car sales manager. From 1991 to 2013, she worked for a large Greek company in the motor policy issues department and the claims handling department. She joined the  Sofos Insurance Agency  as manager of the claims department. She holds Level A Certification from the Bank of Greece and speaks Armenian and English.

Panagiotis Madias

His career in the insurance industry began in 2007 when he worked for an insurance company in the Motor policy issues department. From 2013 to 2014 he continued in an Insurance Brokerage office in the same department. From 2014 to 2021  he worked  as a freelancer until he joined  Sofos Insurance Agency in the Claims handling department.  Graduate  of a private school in the Department of Informatics. He holds a type A certificate from the Bank of Greece.

George Hitos
Customer service department

His career began in 1987 when he worked as a salesman at Sanyo Hellas. He remained there until 1991. Then in 1993, he worked as an employee at the Ionian Bank where he remained until 1995. In 1996 he decided to establish his restaurant and work as a freelancer. His career in the insurance industry began in 2005 when he worked as an employee in a large insurance company until 2013, while at the same time working as an insurance consultant. In August 2019, he was hired by Sofos Insurance Agency in the Customer service department. Holder of insurance agent certificate type A'

Christos Madias
Patras’ Branch Manager

He graduated from the School of Accounting assistants. From 1998 to 2002 he worked at the headquarters of a large insurance company in the debt collection service. From 2002 to 2012, he took on the duties of debt collection service in the Regional Office of South-West Greece, again in the same company. Since October 2014  he has been the director of the Patra’s branch of the Sofos Insurance Agency . He holds a type A' insurance agent certificate

Panagiota Kolliopoulou
Motor policy issues department – Patra Branch

She graduated from TEI school. She worked for 22 years as the manager of the motor policy issues department in a large insurance company, in the Regional Office of South-West Greece. Since 2015, she has been responsible for the Motor policy issues department of  Sofos Insurance Agency  at the Patras branch. She holds a type A insurance agent certificate.

Kyriaki Argyropoulou
Senior Secretary – Patra Branch

She graduated from the School of Economics and Management. She started working as a manager in the sales department at a large company of electrical and electronic goods. Since the summer of 2017, she has been undertaking assistant secretarial duties on behalf of  Sofos Insurance Agency  at the Patras branch. She holds a Type A Insurance Agent Certificate.

Alexandros Derventzas
Corfu’s Branch Manager

He graduated from the private school Corelco. His career began in 1987 when he started working for a large multinational insurance company for one year. In 1988, he assumed the duties of Assistant Manager at another very large insurance company, where he remained until 1997. From 1998, he assumed the duties of the Corfu Branch Manager on behalf of a Greek insurance company. He worked in that company until 2013. In December 2014, he was made Head of the Corfu branch of  Sofos Insurance Agency  . He holds a Type A Insurance Agent Certificate.

George Nikomanis
Head of Sales department – Corfu Branch

He graduated from Technical - Vocational High School. He started working as a part-time insurance consultant in 1997 while at the same time practicing the profession of car salesman, with great success, until 2004. The profession of insurance mediator was the final one that won him and in 2004 he founded his own insurance agency, managing to become one of the largest insurance agencies in Corfu and the Ionian Islands. He specializes in sales and his knowledge of insurance matters is extensive. In 2013, he started working as an independent partner with Sofos Insurance Agency, and then in 2020, he joined the company's workforce as Head of the sales department of the Corfu branch. Holder of type A insurance agent certificate.

 

Konstantinos Glykiotis
Sales department – Corfu Branch

He Graduated in Mechanical Engineering, with certification in Risk management from the international business management institute. He also holds network and data security certification from Udemy. He started working as an insurance consultant at Interamerican in 2012 and has vast experience in Life & Health insurance. In 2020 he joined the staff of Sofos Insurance Agency in the sales department of the Corfu branch.

Manos Roussinos
Motor policy issues department – Corfu Branch

Graduated from Nottingham Trent University, majoring in Accounting and Finance.
In 2011, he started his career at Interamerican as an insurance consultant, obtaining the certification of an insurance agent, while also performing financial studies for small businesses in Corfu.
In 2018, he started working at the insurance office of Mr. Georgios Nikomanis – Nikomanis Insurance, in the motor policy issues department as well as in the claims handling department.
In 2019, the office of Mr. Nikomanis Georgios – Nikomanis Insurance merged with the Sofos Insurance Agency, and he continued to operate in the same department until today. He holds a type A insurance agent certificate.

Alexia Boura
Motor policy issues department – Corfu Branch

Graduated from the Department of Senior Secretary of the public IEK Corfu. She started working from 2008 to 2013 in Corfu for a Greek insurance company (Diethnis Enosis) as the branch’s senior secretary. She has been employed as a secretarial assistant with Sofos Insurance Agency in January 2020.

Tania Metallinou
Motor policy issues department – Corfu Branch

She studied at the private school of Corfu Business Studies. She started working in the insurance industry in 1994 in a large insurance agency in Corfu in the field of secretarial support where she remained until 2020 holding various positions and gaining enormous experience. In July 2021, she joined Sofos Insurance Agency in the motor policy issues department. She holds a Type A Insurance Agent Certificate.

Konstantinos Tolozlis
Thessaoniki’s Branch Manager

Graduated from the economic university of Ioannina in 2011. Excellent knowledge of the English language and holder of IT knowledge certification. After finishing his studies, he worked from 2011 to 2013 in a large insurance company in all departments of the Central Western Macedonia Regional Office. At the same time, he oversaw his own insurance office. In 2017 he took over the Thessaloniki branch of Sofos Insurance Agency. He holds the Type A Certificate from the Bank of Greece.  

Christos Triantafyllakos
Head of sales department – Thessaloniki Branch

In November 2002, he graduated from  Paisley University  (now UWS University of West of Scotland) majoring in  Business Administration  and holds an  MSc in Multimedia  Communications. He is fluent in English and has several French certificates.  From October 2004 he was the Head of the debt Collections department of the Central Western Macedonia office of a large insurance company. He remained there until 2013. In 2018 he started working in a large insurance agency in Thessaloniki as an employee in the travel insurance department and since 2019 he has been working with the  Sofos Insurance Agency  as head of the sales network development in the  region of Thessaloniki and Central Western Macedonia. He holds a type A certificate from the Bank of Greece.

Michalis Zintras
Volos’ Branch Manager

He is a graduate of the Faculty of Technology, Agriculture - Rural Development at the Technical University of Thessaloniki. He has been working in the insurance industry since 2009, initially as an insurance consultant but also in insurance agencies in Volos, having dealt with all insurance sectors. In October 2020, he joined the staff of Sofos Insurance Agency as Manager of the Volos Branch. He holds a type A certificate from the Bank of Greece.

Dimitris Mpantidakis
Head of Motor policy issues – Volos Branch

He is a graduate of the Alexandria Educational Institution of Thessaloniki (ATEITH) in the Department of Vehicles Mechanical Engineering. Since 2018, he has been working in the insurance field, initially in an insurance agency, while at the same time he was practicing the profession of a vehicle expert. In 2020, he joined the staff of Sofos Insurance Agency the Head of the motor policy issues department of the Volos Branch. He holds a type A certificate from the Bank of Greece.

Aristidis Fragakis
Sales network support – Regional office of Macedonia -Thrace

He studied at the School of IT Applications in the Administration and Economy sector of TEI of Western Macedonia. Since 2007 he has been working in the insurance market having professional experience in a large insurance company in the sales and finance sector. In March 2016  Sofos Insurance Agency  appointed him as the responsible person for sales network support for the Macedonia-Thrace Regional Office. He is fluent in English and holds a Type A Certificate from the Bank of Greece.

Ilias Lalakos
Regional Director of Peloponnese – Kalamata Regional Office

He is a high school graduate. He started his career in the insurance market in 2000 in a large Greek insurance company as an employee of the claims handling department where he remained until 2006. After assuming various administrative positions and gaining a lot of experience, in 2006 the same company made him a Branch Manager, supervising all Messinian territory. In 2014, he joined Sofos Insurance Agency as Regional Director of Peloponnese, while at the same time running his own insurance agency with great success. He holds a type A insurance agent certificate.

Kostas Kampaklis
Regional Director of Crete & Aegean Islands – Irakleio Regional Office

Graduated in Organization and Business Administration from CBS COLLEGE in Heraklion, Crete. His career began in 1991 as a stock exchange manager at Sigma Stock Exchange, while in 1994 he entered the insurance market as an insurance consultant at SCOPLIFE, a life insurance company. In 2001, he took charge of other various positions in the Regional Office of a large Greek insurance company until 2013. In 2014, he continued his tenure as sales inspector and later head of the sales department for Crete and Aegean Islands, at Interlife. Since October 2020, he has assumed the position of Regional Director of Crete and the Aegean Islands at Sofos Insurance Agency. He holds a type A insurance agent certificate.

Maria Yachnaki
Head of Motor policy issues department – Regional office of Crete & Aegean Islands

Graduated from the Department of insurance and auditing at TEI Kalamata. She started working in the insurance industry in 2008 where he gained extensive experience working in several insurance agencies and various sectors.
