On the occasion of the opening of the new branch of Sofos Insurance Agency S.A. in Patras, we asked its Director, Mr. Christos Madia, to talk to us about his expectations and goals, but also about the importance he attaches to cooperation with Sofos Insurance Agency SA
Mr. Madia, what are the expectations and goals for the development of your business in the near future?
Chr. M.: The insurance market has great dynamics and favors the rapid development of our operations, while feeding us with optimism for the future. The conclusion of several new contracts with insurance intermediaries in 2017, along with the increase in Staff at the Branch, created the need to move our offices to a new, larger space. The our new Branch has all the necessary infrastructures to successfully cope with the implementation of the new legal framework that will be implemented in 2018 (GDPR and IDD) and also to support the partners who stand by us.
Purpose of Sofos Insurance Agency AE is the continuous investment in the training of its partners, especially in the Life & Health Programs, which tend to lose the "luxury type" designation. One would say that the announcement of new affordable care and savings plans aimed at the largest portion of prospective customers has become a daily occurrence.
Parallel, consolidate our presence in the general insurance industries, entering into "key" partnerships with specialized insurance intermediaries. The goal is for our production to be equally distributed between the automotive and other industries.
What importance do you attach to your cooperation with SOFOS Insurance Agency?
Chr. M.: The beginning of my career found me in a large insurance company, where Mr. Christos Sofos was Vice President. There I immediately realized his vision and drive for innovative applications in our industry. The development of innovative information systems for Greek data, managed by Sofos Insurance Agency AE, provided me with faith for a good collaboration.
Our partners, who currently number 90 in the Wider Region of Southwest Greece, draw data from a multitude of insurance companies through our electronic platform (Sofos Portal) and manage their insurance operations in a way that might have seemed impossible a decade ago .
I would like to emphasize that what made me accept the proposal from Mr. Christos Sofos and take over the Management of the Patras Branch of Sofos Insurance Agency AE was not only the uniqueness that distinguishes the company in terms of service, but also the human-centered approach her, as well as her family climate. Our cooperation flows harmoniously and we hope the future will be bright as it is a company partly managed by young people, the two sons of Mr. Sofos.
